Alex Grindeland

Owner & General Manager

Alex has been performing, teaching, and living improv comedy for more than 20 years. He got his start at CSz Milwaukee, later founded and led CSz Seattle, and served as President of CSz Worldwide. Today, he’s thrilled to bring that experience to First Coast Comedy in Jacksonville.

Madelaine Grindeland

Owner & Marketing Manager

A founding member of First Coast Comedy, Madelaine brings more than a decade of experience in performance, teaching, leadership, and theatre. She has worked as a touring actor, musical theatre performer, film actor, and theatre educator before helping launch First Coast Comedy in Jacksonville.

She’s also a former professional wrestler, holds a 100-Ton U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License, and once worked for Oregon’s most prolific stinging nettle salesman. Yes, really.

David Bogan

Roadshow Manager & Education Director

David has performed and taught improv for more than 25 years, appearing in thousands of shows and working with performers, teams, and organizations across the country. He specializes in Applied Improvisation and corporate team building, with past clients including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Hershey’s, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Bar Manager

Steven is the cocktail wizard behind the bar at First Coast Comedy, with a knack for making even the surliest guests laugh. He’s also a dancer, romancer, and top-tier Halsey fan. Stop by the bar and say hello.
